It is our goal to provide you with information on how your community provides services for sexual assault and domestic violence for Guelph & Wellington County. Other resources and information relevant to sexual assault and domestic violence, helpful to both service users and providers, is also included.
Representation on the Guelph-Wellington Action Committee on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence includes crisis services, violence against women services, child protection services, health programs, justice/prosecution systems, victim and witness services, education, community services, and counselling support.
Direct contact with the committee is not possible at this time but information regarding our committee or the services members provide can be accessed through our individual member organizations (see Who We Are).
The Guelph-Wellington Action Committee on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence recognizes that women, children and men can all be victims of both sexual assault and domestic violence. Information will reflect, however, the reality that women and children are profoundly more at risk of domestic and sexual violence. We do not wish to diminish the male experience of violence. Community services will respond appropriately to all victims.
